Rock ‘N’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon

The marathon takes place during summer. Runners start at night, so they run under the neon lights along the strip.

Cheerleaders entertain participants in true Las-Vegas style. Participants expect over 25,000 other people to run at the same time.

Music keeps you motivated and focused during exercise. You’ll enjoy listening to live bands along the whole course.

Camelback Mountain serves as a scenic backdrop for a portion of the race.

You’ll be welcomed by live music, refreshments, and cold beers after crossing the finish line.

The official start line is near Mandalay Bay. The race route goes through the New York casino, Park MGM, and T-Mobile Arena.

The race starts before the NFL season begins.

Rocket City Marathon

Rocket City Marathon is a long-distance running event held annually in Huntsville, Alabama.

It was founded in 1972 by a group of runners who wanted to create an annual race around the city.

Since then, the race has grown into one of the largest 10k races in the United States.

The marathon starts at the Redstone Arsenal National Park and ends at the Von Braun Center.

A new event called the Rocket City Kids Marathon will be held this year. This event will be open to students in grades K-8.

The race will end at 12 pm. The runners will cross the real finish line at the VBC.

The Rocket City Marathon has actually been a secure fixture in north Alabama for somewhat over 40 years, you can enjoy a flat, and Boston qualifying race that will go through the best parts of historical Huntsville, and then through the space and even the rocket center, straight through the botanical gardens.

It then finishes inside the amazing Von Braun center.

Gently rolling hills, fast courses, and a tour of downtown Huntsville.

A marathoner will continue down Governor’s Drive past Stovehouse before heading towards the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) campus, where the back half-marathon will join the race.

He or she will then run alongside rockets and the space shuttle as they pass by the U.S. space and rocket center.

The runner will then meander through the Huntsville botanical gardens.

The course will finish inside the VBC south hall with a celebration with music and food.

There is a total uphill elevation gain of about 700 ft.

Sentries are located about every two to three miles, along with numerous porta-lets. Aid stations are located at every mile split.

Large mileage signs will be posted about every mile along the route. The race starts at 8 am.

There are three checkpoints along the course. The first checkpoint is located at mile 1.5.

The second checkpoint is located at mile 2.0. The third checkpoint is located at mile 3.0.

All participants must report to the start line by 7:30 am. Participants who arrive after this time will be disqualified.

There are other races scheduled around this marathon, but you’ll be meeting new friends and running colleagues there.
