There are aid stations every mile. They give you water, Gatorade, bananas, oranges, and other snacks.
They also have some healthy foods such as fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, etc. We had a chef there to cook up some delicious meals after the race.
There is an awards ceremony at the end of the race. You receive a finishers’ medal, age group award, and a shirt. After the race, they have a free on-course photo session.
Los Gatos is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, about 10 miles south of San Jose. It usually gets very hot in summer.
Rainfall is almost non-existent during this period. Race day is usually around June 17th.
Newport is located in Oregon in the United States. A majority of the people who participate in this race enjoy eating oysters.
This is a great opportunity for those who love oysters to have fun while running. Most of the course is flat and there are only a few hills along the way.
At miles 11 and 19, runners will eat oysters. Running finishes at the end of the race.
